Consulting Services

C.P. Schumann offers consulting services to law firms regarding economic damages, assistance with the selection of expert witnesses, and the exam of the financial expert. Previous engagements have included attendance at trial as second or third chair during the testimony of the opposing expert witnesses and the jury instruction phase.

Services Available

The firm offers both traditional accounting and tax services and the non-traditional services of business valuation, forensics, and litigation on a local and national level. C.P. Schumann is a nationally known speaker and publisher of various articles in areas in which the firm practices. He holds both the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and the Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MFAA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He has federal, district, probate, bankruptcy, and tax court experience.

Inactive Professional Affiliations

Mr. Schumann was Chair of the NACVA Litigation Forensics Board and the Standards Committee for several years. He was also the past Chair of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants Litigation Member Services Section, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Litigation Support & Dispute Resolution Sub-committee, as well as the AICPA National Litigation Conference Committee and the AICPA Business Valuation Committee.

He is currently a Texas Society of CPA's Professional Standards Committee member.

He has participated in the writing of both the NACVA Standards, as well as the litigation standards applicable to CPAs.
